3. Products, Services, and DIY Electronics

We take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions, and prices of products appearing on the website are correct. However, we reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been mis-published.

  • Hobbyist Nature: Many products sold by FPV Lab are intended for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) hobbyists and require technical knowledge to assemble, solder, configure, and operate safely.
  • Custom Builds and Tuning: Where FPV Lab provides professional drone building or tuning services, we ensure the equipment is fully functional at the time of dispatch or handover. However, due to the nature of FPV flight, we cannot guarantee the hardware against user-induced damage, crashes, or subsequent software alterations made by the user.

4. Specific FPV Liabilities and Disclaimers

By purchasing from FPV Lab, you acknowledge the inherent risks associated with radio-controlled aircraft and experimental electronics:

  • LiPo Battery Safety: Lithium Polymer (LiPo) batteries are highly volatile and can cause fires, property damage, or injury if mishandled, overcharged, or physically damaged. FPV Lab accepts zero liability for any damages or injuries resulting from the use, charging, storage, or disposal of LiPo batteries purchased from us.
  • ICASA Compliance & Radio Frequencies: We sell radio transmitters and video transmission equipment (VTX) capable of broadcasting on various frequencies and power levels. It is the sole responsibility of the user to ensure that their equipment is configured to comply with South African ICASA regulations regarding legal frequency bands and transmission power limits.
  • Flight Safety & Property Damage: The user assumes all responsibility for operating their drones safely and in accordance with South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) regulations. FPV Lab is not liable for any injury to persons, damage to property, or loss of equipment resulting from the use of our products.

5. Pricing, Payment, and Security

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of Value-Added Tax (VAT) where applicable. Full payment is required before any order is dispatched or custom service begins.

We use Peach Payments, Ikhokha, and Ozow as our trusted, secure payment gateways. All online payments are processed through their PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant systems. We do not store any of your sensitive banking or card details on our servers. All transactions are subject to 3D Secure authentication as required by South African banks.

6. Shipping and Delivery

We are committed to delivering your order accurately and in good condition. Once a package is handed over to our courier partners, the risk of loss passes to the customer, though we will assist in resolving courier disputes. 7. Returns, Refunds, and Warranties

Due to the nature of FPV components, strict return conditions apply:

  • Soldered & Modified Components: Any electronic component (e.g., Flight Controllers, ESCs, VTXs, Motors) that has been soldered, conformal coated, or physically modified is strictly non-returnable and non-refundable.
  • Manufacturing Defects: Claims for dead-on-arrival (DOA) or manufacturing defects must be reported to us within a strictly defined window before any modifications are made.

8. Intellectual Property

All content included on this website, such as text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of FPV Lab or its content suppliers and is protected by South African and international copyright laws.
